New IELTS requirements
All sponsorship applications must include an IELTS assessment demonstrating a score of at least six in each band, unless a higher minimum standard is specified on Victoria’s Occupation Lists, or unless the applicant holds an eligible passport (see below). You must upload a scanned copy of your IELTS results as part of the online sponsorship application process.
Consistent with the Commonwealth Government’s requirements, applicants are not required to provide an IELTS assessment for state sponsorship consideration by Victoria if they hold a valid passport from, and are a citizen of, one of the following countries: USA, UK, Canada, Republic of Ireland or New Zealand.
