Regional Skilled Migration Coordinators

Through the Regional Skilled Migration program, the Victorian Government is supporting Victorian regions outside of metropolitan Melbourne to provide local assistance to skilled and business migrants.

If you are a skilled or business migrant and you want to take advantage of the opportunities in regional Victoria, local coordinators can connect you with information about employment opportunities and post-arrival support, including welcome sessions and information packs.

These services are available to recently arrived skilled migrants, who hold a permanent residency or temporary (pending permanent) General Skilled Migration visa, including Skilled-Graduate (subclass 485) visa holders.

Recently arrived migrants falling under other categories may also be eligible for assistance, subject to their qualifications and willingness to seek employment in regional Victoria.

Migrants are referred to services through locally based coordinators. Services vary across regions and may include:

  • Welcome packs providing information on banking and finance, council services, education, employment, health, housing and recreation
  • Links to networks of business and community contacts
  • Links to multicultural associations
  • Letters of support for real estate and employment.

Regional Skilled Migration Coordinators are available in the following 10 Victorian regional areas:
