Skilled - Independent (175) Visa
This is a permanent visa for people who have good English language skills and have skills and qualifications in an occupation in demand in Australia.
Applicants must pass the Department of Immigration and Citizenship's (DIAC) points test based on characteristics needed in the Australian labour market.
The Skilled - Independent (175) visa is offered by DIAC.
Migrants do not require State sponsorship to apply for this visa.
