Skilled - Independent (885) Visa

This visa is for eligible overseas students who have completed their course studies in Australia as a result of at least two years study, and for holders of certain temporary visas with skills in demand in Australia.

The visa provides permanent residency and applicants must pass the Department of Immigration and Citizenship's (DIAC) points test based on characteristics needed in the Australian labour market.

The Skilled - Independent (885) visa is offered by the Australian Government through DIAC.

Migrants do not require State sponsorship to apply for this visa.
