Roof Slater and Tiler
Victoria's building and construction sector
There are approximately 3925 tilers in Victoria. Demand is strongly linked to levels of building and construction activity. Victoria employs about 16.2 percent of the nation's Roof Tilers. Less than 40 percent of Roof Tiler positions in Victoria are filled so there are significant skills shortages in this sector.
The Victorian Government is currently offering visa sponsorship for Roof Slater and Tilers. For a description of the tasks and duties performed by Roof Slater and Tilers, visit the Australian Skills Recognition Information page on the Department of Immigration and Citizenship's website.
