Overview
Victoria has one of the largest information and communications technology (ICT) industries in Australia – around 34 percent of all ICT professionals are employed here.
According to Multimedia Victoria (the State Government agency responsible for liaising with the industry), nearly all ICT companies in Victoria expect to grow over the next three years.
Victoria’s ICT industry includes:

- internet publishing, consulting and provision
- computer hardware and maintenance.
Industry size
Multimedia Victoria indicated in 2008 that ICT companies operating in Victoria had a combined gross annual revenue of A$24.4 billion. The industry employs around 84,600 people.
