Manufacturing Industry
Overview
Victoria has the largest manufacturing industry in Australia. Around 30 percent of the country's manufacturing workers are employed in Victoria, and around 27 percent of all Australian manufacturing businesses are based in Victoria.
The industry is projected to grow by around 1.2 percent over the five years to 2013-14. A significant proportion of the goods manufactured in Victoria are exported.

Victoria's manufacturing industry employs around 390,000 people. In 2007-08 the industry achieved revenue of around $120,000 million.
