Victoria is currently offering visa sponsorship for the following eligible plumbing occupations:
- plumbers (general)
- roof plumbers
- airconditioning and mechanical services plumber.
To be eligible to apply for sponsorship, carpenters must:
- have a minimum of five years experience
- have an IELTS score of six or above in each band
- meet Victoria's other minimum eligibility requirements
- address Victoria's sponsorship assessment requirements in your application.

Industry contacts
Professional bodies and industry associations are a good source of information about plumbers in Victoria.
- Victoria’s Plumbing Industry Commission regulates all plumbers and plumbing work in Victoria.
- The Master Plumbers and Mechanical Services Association is the sector’s peak body, representing and advocating for Victoria’s plumbers, it also offers training and advice.
- The Heating and Cooling Association of Australia is the peak body for the heating and cooling sector.
- The Housing Industry Association provides resources to a range of building professionals.
